Among the rare names used were: Angelok, Zvonka, Askold, or Svyatogor. For girls, names such as Barbie, Merci, Ruta, Horynya, Jasmine, Roksolana, Vasilisa, Olimpiada, Luna, Kvitka, Sulamita, Malva, and Doyana were also found.
Boys were named Panteleimon, Solomon, Tamerlane, Aeneas, Arnold, Elisei, Dobrynya, Zoreslav, Zorovavel, Yair, Severin, and Sultan.
Interestingly, popular names like Sofia and Artem have remained at the top of the rankings for several years.
Overall, girls are most commonly named: Anna, Maria, Ekaterina, Solomiya, Sofia, Polina, Victoria, and Milana. Boys are typically named: Maxim, Bohdan, Dmytro, Mykhailo, Andriy, Artem, Denys, Daniil, Tymofiy, Makar, and Mark.
