From forks to cans: in one district of Dnipro, the sewer system couldn't handle the trash buildup (PHOTOS).

Residents of the Northern housing estate are complaining about the broken sewage system, but local authorities are urging them not to throw away old items to avoid clogging it, as reported by "Vідомо".

According to the Left Bank administration of the city, residents are experiencing a terrible stench from the clogged sewage on Semafornaya Street and are sending complaints to the city council's hotline.

"The Left Bank administration of the Dnipro City Council, along with utility workers, has been trying to clear the blockage for several weeks. During the work, it became clear that the residents of Northern have turned the sewage system into a means of disposing of various types of waste. Utility machinery is currently unable to clear the pipes due to the debris thrown in by our citizens. Several pieces of equipment have already been damaged," the statement reads.

In the comments, people acknowledge that it is unnecessary to dump everything into the sewage system, but they also point out that this particular sewage system has not been cleaned for a long time.
