Mykhailo Podolyak believes that the 90-day suspension of audit programs by American authorities is excessively lengthy, especially for projects related to humanitarian efforts and counteracting the informational influences of aggressor countries like Russia and China.
"We can only say that by pausing these programs, they could significantly lose their influence over various societies. At this moment, the influence of countries like China or Russia may increase on these societies," the advisor to the head of the Office of the President clarified.
According to him, due to the ongoing hostilities, Ukraine's economy is losing a significant portion of its revenue generation, which is why the country is compelled to seek assistance from partners to resume funding for these programs.
At the same time, Podolyak emphasized that for America, foreign policy is fundamentally about its influence on the world.
"I do not see how one can dominate the world without funding a large number of humanitarian or influence programs. The U.S. will definitely return to this [funding for programs]. It just needs to be explained how important this is, calmly and without emotions," Podolyak noted.
