In Dnipro, 3.7 million UAH will be allocated for a comprehensive program focused on the maintenance of green spaces.

The regional center plans to improve the areas around the city's schools, with a substantial budget of 3.7 million hryvnias allocated for this purpose. The funds will be used for a comprehensive program focused on the care of green spaces, including tree trimming, stump removal, and the planting of new vegetation. A tender for these works has already been posted on the Prozorro portal. This is reported by "Vidomo".

The detailed work plan encompasses a range of activities aimed at enhancing the condition of green spaces surrounding schools. Specifically, it is expected that nearly 419 cubic meters of hazardous trees will be felled and subsequently processed (cut into logs), as they pose a threat to the community. This is a necessary safety measure to prevent potential injuries and property damage.

The hazardous nature of the trees will be assessed by specialists through visual inspections and evaluations of their condition, taking into account the presence of rot, cracks, trunk lean, and other factors indicating a potential threat.

In addition to the removal of hazardous trees, crown trimming is planned for another 462 healthy plants. This procedure, carried out by qualified specialists using specialized equipment, not only enhances the visual appeal of the trees but also promotes their proper growth and development, increasing their longevity and resilience to adverse weather conditions.

Proper trimming will stimulate the growth of new shoots, make the crown more compact, and prevent overcrowding, which improves air circulation and lighting.

Tender requirements for potential contractors include the availability of necessary equipment (special machinery for felling, trimming, stump removal, and transport for wood removal), as well as a qualified workforce of at least 10 individuals with experience in performing such tasks and the appropriate certifications.

The tender was announced on January 29, 2025, and the submission of proposals will continue until February 6. The contractor will be selected after February 7. It is expected that all work will be completed by September 1, 2025.
