The EU has completely missed the chance to make an impact. Here's why - Maxim Zhorin.

The current situation in Europe is not just a wake-up call; it's a significant blow to the head. The behavior of the United States indicates that the EU has completely lost its influence as global leaders and its ability to affect change. This is partly due to the extremely tolerant mindset they have adopted in recent years.

The internal liberal policies of European nations have resulted in a scenario where they are no longer taken seriously. The world has changed drastically, and it demands a strong and decisive response. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the United States has chosen to disregard their opinions and merely "inform" them.

Who prevented them from acting over the years and paying proper attention to developing their own defense sector? Last year, Russia's military budget exceeded the combined expenditures of all EU countries.

Europe certainly has powerful nations and the potential to regain its lost strength. However, this will require a return to conservative values and a recollection of their identity. They must recognize that, today, a strong position for Ukraine equates to their own security and authority.
