It has always been this way. Only the brave are respected. Only the influential are listened to. And only the strong are taken into account.
Since 1991, Ukraine's enemies have done everything possible to keep our state weak, disintegrated, toothless, and dependent. In 2013, Ukraine began to awaken, building its strength and finally coming to understand the necessity of asserting its own subjectivity. It would be naive to think that the birth of this subjectivity would be painless. And it would be an even greater mistake to believe that the path to it would be paved for us.
For eleven years, we have been waging a half-hearted war against a country that surpasses us in numbers and resources. And for the past three years, Ukraine has been holding back a full-scale invasion from one of the most capable armies in the world. The daily heroism of Ukrainian soldiers should inspire us, preventing despair, regardless of what statements foreign politicians, analysts, and experts make. The final word belongs to the front.
Yes, we still do not succeed in everything, and we have much work ahead of us. Yes, we ourselves believed in empty promises when we gave up our nuclear weapons, critically weakening the country's defense capability. However, Ukraine has already achieved the impossible. Ukraine has entered history due to its resistance to Russian occupation, the bravery and power of its army, the strength of horizontal social connections, and the skill of our diplomacy. This is where true Ukrainian subjectivity arises today. And this is what irritates those who find a strong and independent Ukraine a thorn in their side.
Everything happening today in the information space should not divert us from the path we have chosen. Likewise, Ukrainians should not pay attention to those characters who have eagerly begun preparing for political games and illusory elections. All attention is on the front, all efforts are for the front.
Hopelessness begins where people, under pressure from circumstances, refuse to fight for what is theirs. This is not us. We stand firm, we destroy the occupiers!
