Everything that is happening right now indicates that Putin can no longer wage war as he used to. He needs to shift the balance of power and emphasize different aspects in this conflict.
The USA has effectively broken the Western security system, thus giving Russia an advantage.
However, this is not the end; it is merely the beginning of tectonic shifts on the global security map.
For us, this is a window of opportunity. For Europe, it is an inevitable necessity to build its own security architecture.
Europe must quickly establish at least the foundation of a new security system within a month or two and publicly demonstrate unity and readiness to defend itself. It should show unwavering support for Ukraine, rather than a willingness to trade our territories for a ceasefire.
Europe needs to display strength.
Only then can the reconstruction of the collective security system begin peacefully, a system that Ukraine and our army can significantly strengthen.
If this does not happen now, the risk of escalation in the war is very high, and Europe will still have to create its own security system, but it will be more costly, and it is uncertain what condition Ukraine will be in.
