The Ministry of Environment has been strengthened by ambitious, promising, determined, and goal-oriented young individuals – the Youth Council has officially begun its work!
The competition for council members generated significant interest, which is a very positive sign: environmental protection issues resonate strongly with the youth.
Our Youth Council comprises representatives from local youth councils, associations, students, scholars, volunteers, and employees of Ukrainian and international public environmental organizations. They are ambitious, bringing new ideas and fresh insights.
Now, the youth will have the opportunity to directly influence environmental policy: collaborating with the team from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, proposing development ideas, discussing initiatives, implementing joint projects, and strengthening the connection between the ministry and the youth community.
The main topic of the inaugural meeting is environmental education; despite the challenges of war, "green technologies" and ecological standards continue to permeate all areas of life in Ukraine. Initiatives are the foundation of "green" recovery and sustainable development, with a focus on promoting ecological knowledge among Ukrainians.
I congratulate the members of the Youth Council on their election and the beginning of a new chapter in public activity. I believe that our collaboration will be both interesting and beneficial for Ukraine!
