In Dnipro, there were 206,000 recorded traffic violations related to stopping, parking, and vehicle parking during 2024. This information comes from "Vidomo," citing the Dnipro City Council.
It is noted that last spring saw the highest number of violations due to an increase in private vehicles.
In total, more than 40 million hryvnias were collected in the city budget from fines for improper parking last year.
"In 2024, the inspection received nearly 4,700 reports regarding vehicles parked in violation of traffic rules. Each month, the inspection receives numerous complaints from residents about improper parking in courtyards. This issue is under constant scrutiny by parking inspectors. Since June, there has been stricter control over compliance with parking rules in residential areas. Violators face administrative penalties in the form of fines," reminded Natalia Dovgopola, head of the organizational and analytical work, information technology, and support department of the Dnipro City Council's parking control inspection.
Additionally, last year, 4,737 vehicles were towed to special lots for serious parking violations.
As is known, towing is carried out for parking on pedestrian crossings, intersections, sidewalks, public transport stops, and in cases where it obstructs the movement of other vehicles, particularly emergency services or public transport.
Each of these violations will cost vehicle owners a significant amount:
Also, it is important to note that administrative penalties are imposed on the vehicle owner, not the driver.
