As part of this initiative, a new project worth €50 million has been approved, which will help provide housing for 1,460 Ukrainian families by the end of 2025.
"Internally displaced families can obtain a loan from the State Youth Housing Fund at a fixed rate of 3% per annum for a term of up to 30 years with a minimum down payment of 6% of the housing cost, which the borrower selects themselves," the statement said.
Additionally, a decision has been made to allocate an extra €100 million for the "HOME: Compensation for Destroyed Housing" project.
"These funds will be used to support a direct assistance mechanism, through which end beneficiaries, including combat participants, individuals with disabilities, and large families, will receive compensation for housing destroyed as a result of hostilities and terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation in the form of certificates for purchasing housing. The project is being implemented across Ukraine," the agency reported.
The ministry added that the additional funding under the HOME project, amounting to €100 million, will be directed towards providing compensation for more than 2,000 housing certificates, enabling approximately 5,700 Ukrainians to receive compensation for destroyed housing.
