With just over 2 months until we all celebrate the New Year, and before that, Christmas on December 25th, it's essential to have a collection of salad recipes that look festive on the table. You’ve probably heard of the "Bride" salad, but now we invite you to discover the "Rich Bride" salad. Don’t worry, the name doesn’t imply that it’s more expensive.
Ingredients:
Chinese cabbage — 1 piece;
mushrooms — 500 g;
chicken fillet — 1 piece;
potatoes — 4 pieces;
eggs — 4 pieces;
cheese — 100 g;
onion — 1 piece;
salt — 1 tsp.;
sugar — 2 tsp.;
9% vinegar — 1 tbsp.;
water — 3 tbsp.;
mayonnaise.
Preparation of the “Rich Bride” salad:
1. Slice the onion into feathers, mix it with salt, sugar, vinegar, and water, and let it marinate for 10 minutes. Clean the champignons and slice them thinly.
2. In a pan with vegetable oil, sauté the mushrooms until the moisture evaporates. Boil the potatoes and hard-boil the eggs.
3. Grate the peeled potatoes on a fine grater, and similarly, grate the eggs in a separate bowl. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
4. Place the grated potatoes as the first layer on a plate, drizzling with a mayonnaise lattice. On top of the potato layer, add the sautéed mushrooms and pickled onions. Spread mayonnaise over the onion layer, then add the boiled chicken breast, shredded into fibers. Cover the chicken with a mayonnaise lattice and sprinkle with eggs.
5. Spread mayonnaise over the egg layer, season with salt, and top with chopped Chinese cabbage on all sides and the top. Cover the cabbage with a thin lattice of mayonnaise and sprinkle with cheese.
