Dnipropetrovsk region ranks among the top five areas with the highest rates of traffic rule violations.

The number of traffic violations detected by cameras has increased by 1.7 times.

In the first nine months of 2024, automated traffic enforcement cameras in Ukraine detected over 3.2 million traffic violations. This figure is 1.7 times higher than the same period last year and marks a record for the past five years. This information is reported in the analytics from Opendatabot, as conveyed by "Vidomo".

A total of 3,278,982 traffic violations were identified by automated cameras this year in Ukraine.

Overall, this is the highest number of violations recorded since the cameras began operating in June 2020. A staggering 99% of the violations captured by the cameras were related to speeding, while only 1% – equating to 16,833 citations – involved stopping or driving in a public transport lane.

The highest number of violations within a month was recorded in September of this year, totaling 520,247.

Law enforcement issued over 2 million citations nationwide, including:

  • in Lviv region – 220,161;
  • in Kyiv – 180,719;
  • in Odesa region – 134,836;
  • in Dnipropetrovsk region – 130,177;
  • in Vinnytsia region – 107,178.

Currently, there are 308 cameras operating in Ukraine. The majority of these devices are installed in Kyiv and its region, as well as in Lviv region.
