A city in Dnipropetrovsk will be without water for nearly a full day.

Residents of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region should prepare for a temporary water supply shutdown. The municipal enterprise "Nikopolvodokanal" has announced scheduled emergency repair works that will necessitate a complete cessation of water supply in the city. This information is reported by "Vidomo".

The shutdown is scheduled for January 9, 2024, starting at 00:00 and is expected to last until approximately 20:00 on the same day. This means that for a full 20 hours, city residents will be without centralized access to water.

The shutdown will affect all residents, regardless of their area of residence.

Due to the extended interruption in water supply, residents of Nikopol are strongly advised to stock up on sufficient drinking water for consumption, cooking, and hygiene procedures.

In the first hours after water supply resumes, it is recommended to let the water run from the taps for several minutes to flush out any potential contaminants and sediment that may have accumulated in the pipes during the repairs.
