Investments in green energy bolster Ukraine's energy security, according to the CEO of DTEK at COP29.

Investments in green energy are bolstering Ukraine's energy security, rendering critical infrastructure less vulnerable to attacks. This was stated by DTEK's CEO, Maxim Timchenko, in an interview with American CNBC during the UN Climate Change Conference COP-29 in Baku. The company shared the video on its LinkedIn.
Гендиректор ДТЭК на СОР-29 заявил, что инвестиции в "зеленую" энергетику способствуют укреплению энергобезопасности Украины.

"The more we invest in renewable energy, the more we safeguard our future. Renewable energy, with its distributed generation model, is beneficial not only for the environment but also for our security," said Timchenko.

He emphasized that through wind and solar power plants, the country not only addresses the issue of decarbonization but also enhances energy security, making critical infrastructure less vulnerable to attacks.

The CEO of DTEK noted that during the full-scale war, the company invested over $1 billion in Ukraine's energy infrastructure, including in wind and solar power plants, as well as battery systems.

DTEK, led by Rinat Akhmetov, is also preparing for the construction of the Poltava wind farm project with a capacity of 650 MW.
