Recently, compensation stocking of silver carp was carried out in the Kamensky Reservoir. This was reported by "Vydomo," referencing the Dnipropetrovsk Fish Protection Patrol.
The compensation stocking in the Kamensky Reservoir, where 1,471 kg (20,975 individuals) of silver carp with an average weight of 83 grams were introduced, took place on November 14. The fish were released into the waterbody near the village of Shulhivka in the Dnipro district.
The fish stocking material was grown and delivered by PJSC "Petrykiv Fish Farm," and the stocking was funded by a private enterprise engaged in sand extraction in the Dnipro Reservoir area. By conducting compensation stocking, the company compensates for the damage caused to the fishery due to its operations.

"Aquatic species of fish, particularly silver carp, are introduced into water bodies to improve their biological condition and increase fish productivity. Silver carp feed on microscopic algae – phytoplankton and other aquatic plants, thereby purifying the water," explain the fish protection officers.
