The Pension Fund of Ukraine has outlined several circumstances under which the subsidy may be reduced or canceled, potentially leading to a requirement to return funds.

Main reasons for reducing or returning assistance:

If a family member moves or leaves, it may affect the household's eligibility for assistance.

Failure to disclose ownership of real estate, vehicles, or other assets may result in recalculations.

If the recipient provides incorrect financial information, the subsidy may be deemed improperly allocated.

What happens if you received an excess subsidy?

If authorities discover an overpayment, the recipient must return the unlawfully obtained funds.

If the recipient continues to receive subsidies, the excess amount will be deducted from future payments, but at a rate not exceeding 20% of the new subsidy amount.

How to avoid issues with repayment?

To prevent unexpected reductions or cancellations, beneficiaries should inform the Pension Fund within 30 days about any significant changes that may affect their eligibility for the subsidy. Timely reporting helps ensure compliance and mitigates the risk of financial penalties.
