Failure to attend this examination may result in administrative penalties for non-compliance with military registration requirements. According to lawyer Natalia Opolskaya, individuals who do not appear for the military medical commission (VVK) may face fines of 17,000 UAH. This punishment is applied only in the presence of an official summons or referral issued by the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCK).
The law stipulates that citizens recognized as partially fit for military service are required to undergo a repeat VVК within 9 months from the date the new regulations come into effect.
Military personnel are not required to take the initiative to schedule the examination themselves, as the responsibility to direct them to the VVК lies with the TCK. If there is no summons, the individual bears no responsibility.
If a person was summoned but did not appear without a valid reason, such as illness or natural disaster, they may face penalties. However, if a legitimate reason for absence is provided, the fine may be reconsidered in court.
It is important to note that Ukrainians with the status of "partially fit" are required to undergo a repeat VVК by February 5, 2025.
