Details have emerged about the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl from Kryvyi Rih, who may have run away with her boyfriend out of love.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the search for the underage Veronika Kalikina has been ongoing for five days. She went to school on January 24 and has since disappeared. It has come to light that the girl may have run away with 14-year-old Tavgen Sergey Ilyich, with whom she is likely in a romantic relationship. This information was reported by "Vidomo" referencing "Dnipro Operative" and "Rudana".

Larisa Kalikina, Veronika's mother, believes the children may have fled together due to their relationship, which she does not approve of.

"According to her classmates, Veronika attended all her lessons, and when they ended, she went out to the yard where Sergey was waiting for her. She said at school that she was going to his birthday party," Larisa shared.

According to the girl's mother, this is not the first time Veronika has gone missing, but last time she was found within an hour.

"He would constantly come over when I was at work. And she loves him so much, trusts him... He was considered her boyfriend, but I forbade them from seeing each other," Larisa stated.

The mother explains this by stating that the boy comes from a troubled family and "leads an improper lifestyle." However, despite the ban, the young lovers met secretly, and the last time they were seen together was on surveillance cameras a day before the girl's disappearance. It is also known that the children fled from a police officer.

The girl's mother is worried that her 13-year-old daughter may be in danger.

Meanwhile, law enforcement and volunteers continue the search for the underage Veronika, checking the Ingulec and other areas of Kryvyi Rih.
