In Dnipro, at the Ukrainian-Korean Center of the University of Customs and Finance, an exhibition titled "Korea Corner" has been launched, reports a correspondent from "Vydomo".

The event was held with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine. This center is home to the first museum of traditional cultural values of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine, showcasing unique artifacts.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of professors from the Department of Foreign Philology, Translation, and Professional Language Training at UTSF – Choi Kwang Sun and Bae Ji Yon – the museum's collection has been enriched with dozens of exclusive works by Korean artists and craftsmen. Recently, the museum has added new exhibits – replicas of outstanding historical treasures that vividly showcase the uniqueness of Korean culture. Among the new items: - a four-tiered mother-of-pearl box crafted using traditional carving and inlay techniques.

"These items were first transported to Warsaw. Then, they were moved to Ukraine. We officially handled this in cooperation with the embassy. The university has a faculty of Korean philology where students learn the language. According to embassy representatives, our students are among the most active, which is why these exhibits were entrusted to us. Organizing the exhibition was very challenging due to the war, but we managed to realize this project — it is truly a miracle. We sincerely worried about how to deliver these exhibits to Ukraine. Korea also experienced war in the 1950s, resulting in significant damage. After the war, our country was one of the poorest, but today Korea ranks 10th in the world in terms of economic level. Given our history, we want to express support for Ukrainians," noted one of the exhibition organizers, Bae Ji Yon.

"This event symbolizes the strong partnership between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea, promoting cultural and educational exchange, strengthening international relations, and creating new opportunities for students and scholars. Thank you to the organizers and partners for their efforts to expand international cooperation and create a space for dialogue between our countries," said Tatiana Chabanova, advisor to the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.

"The University of Customs and Finance is a true center of international friendship, cooperation, and establishing Dnipro and the region as a place that is tolerant of any nationality, race, and faith. We are very grateful because we truly see a very broad palette here. I want to thank the management of this institution on behalf of the city authorities for their approach that formulates the right attitude. I have acquaintances who study here, and they say, 'Studying here is cool!' It's relevant and interesting here," noted Yevgeny Khoroshilov, head of the culture department of the Dnipro City Council.
