Record-breaking prices: In Dnipropetrovsk region, the cost of a cup of coffee has reached the highest level in Ukraine.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the most expensive espresso in Ukraine can be found.
В Днепропетровской области цена за чашку кофе достигла рекорда, став самой высокой в Украине.

Last year, Ukraine experienced a significant increase in the price of a cup of espresso, which now averages 31 hryvnias, marking an 11% rise compared to 2023. This information comes from "Vidomo," referencing Opendatabot, which studied and analyzed pricing data across various regions of the country.

The most noticeable price hike for coffee occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the cost of a cup of espresso reaches a record 49 hryvnias. This makes Dnipropetrovsk the leader in coffee prices in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, in the Odessa region, the price stands at 43 hryvnias, which is also quite high. The Volyn region follows with a price of 39 hryvnias, while the Lviv region rounds out the list at 37 hryvnias per cup.

The lowest coffee prices are found in the Khmelnytsky and Sumy regions, where a cup of espresso costs only 28 hryvnias. This indicates that there are significant price variations for coffee across different regions of Ukraine, which may be attributed to various factors including the standard of living, demand for coffee, and the availability of raw materials.

The Espresso Index, used to analyze coffee prices, not only reflects current market conditions but also serves as an indicator of the population's purchasing power and the inflation rate in the country.

Interestingly, since the onset of the full-scale war in Ukraine, coffee prices have increased by 1.7 times. This rise is linked not only to general economic conditions but also to changes in logistics, supply chains, and production processes, which in turn affect the cost of the final product.
