During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago residence, Trump suggested that one of the key conditions for ending the war could be Ukraine's abandonment of its aspirations to join NATO.
He claimed that there was previously a mutual understanding between Russia and Ukraine that could have led to a resolution satisfactory to all parties. However, according to Trump, this agreement was violated under Biden's leadership, resulting in the continuation and escalation of military actions.
Trump also noted that Putin is open to negotiations with him. However, he stated that any official discussions would only take place after his inauguration on January 20.
“My view is that there has always been such an understanding. In fact, I believe that there was a previously reached agreement between them (Russia and Ukraine). Then Biden violated it. They had an agreement that would have been satisfactory for Ukraine and everyone else,” Donald Trump stated.
