These products have traditionally held an important place in the diets of most families, so any changes in their prices attract attention. Based on information from the “Minfin” portal, an analysis of prices for key goods was conducted.
Buckwheat: Price Stability
Buckwheat retains a stable price compared to December 2024. The average price per kilogram remains at 33.02 UAH. However, there is a significant price range across retail chains. The lowest price can be found at Ashan — 27.90 UAH per kilogram, while at MegaMarket, the same quantity will cost 40 UAH.
Rice: Slight Increase
Rice prices have changed depending on the type. For example:
- Long-grain rice remains at 58.20 UAH per kilogram.
- Parboiled long-grain rice has increased from 66.88 to 67.17 UAH per kilogram.
- Round rice has also seen a slight price rise — from 69.54 to 69.67 UAH per kilogram.
Despite the modest increase, the changes have not significantly impacted consumers' wallets.
Pasta: Price Decrease
On the contrary, pasta products have slightly decreased in price. The average cost per kilogram of "feather" pasta has decreased from 33.10 to 33.03 UAH. Although the drop is minor, it has been a pleasant surprise for consumers.
