"Today we are making a decision that is part of the winter support for Ukrainian families. At the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky, starting from December 1, every Ukrainian citizen will receive 1,000 UAH to pay for Ukrainian goods and services," stated Shmyhal.
According to him, the government is determining how, where, and when the funds can be received and where they can be spent. Additionally, since the program also concerns children, the Cabinet of Ministers is establishing the procedure for payments to one of the parents for each child.
Shmyhal noted that by adopting the decision on winter "eSupport," the government aims to achieve three main objectives. The first is to provide financial assistance to Ukrainian families. The funds can be spent on medicines, books, clothing, bus and train tickets, utility bills, and more.
The second goal is to support Ukrainian service providers and manufacturers, as they will be the ones receiving the funds. The government believes this will serve as an additional stimulus for the economy.
The third aim is to once again demonstrate the unity of Ukrainian society, as one of the options for using the funds is to support the Ukrainian army, Shmyhal emphasized.
