A renowned surgeon in Dnipro, who performed thousands of successful surgeries, has passed away.

In Dnipro, at the age of 71, the heart of the distinguished surgeon Alexander Petrovich Chaban has stopped beating. This was reported by "Vydomo" citing a message from the KNP "Clinical Emergency Medical Hospital" of DMR on Facebook.

"Alexander Petrovich was an outstanding universal surgeon who performed thousands of operations during his 47 years of service at the emergency hospital. He was a qualified specialist, dedicated to his work, kind, and attentive to his patients," – the message states.

Alexander Chaban began his career in 1977 after graduating from the Dnipro Medical Institute. He initially worked as a surgeon, became the head of the 3rd surgical department in 1991, and led the 4th surgical department of the hospital from 2013 onwards. Since 2016, he worked as a surgeon and retired in 2024, dedicating his life to medicine.

Colleagues remember Alexander Petrovich as a person with an open heart and a big soul. His sincerity, cheerfulness, and dedication will remain in the memories of all who knew him.

Farewell to Alexander Chaban will take place on November 26 at 13:30 in the Pathological Anatomy Department of the hospital, located at: Dnipro, Serhiy Nihoyan St., 53.
