The Russian dictator Putin announced that during the airstrike on Dnipro, a medium-range missile called "Oreshnik" was used, as reported by "Izvestia".
In his video address, he emphasized that it was a test launch of this "latest missile".
"The use of the 'Oreshnik' system was a response to the U.S. decision to withdraw from the treaty on intermediate and shorter-range missiles," he stated, noting that it was a ballistic missile equipped with non-nuclear hypersonic capabilities.
"We will proactively advise Ukrainian civilians to evacuate the danger zone when missiles are deployed," he added.
