The attacks targeted generating facilities and transmission networks, resulting in emergency outages across the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk (partially), Cherkasy (partially), and Kyiv (partially) regions.
Additionally, the demand for electricity surged sharply due to falling temperatures in most regions. As of 8:30 AM on February 3, consumption was 3.3% higher than the previous working day, January 31.

On February 2, the highest electricity consumption was recorded in the evening, although it was 1.2% lower than the peak consumption on January 26.
Ukrainians are urged to be responsible with their electricity usage, particularly from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. It is strongly recommended not to use multiple high-power electrical appliances simultaneously, especially when the power supply is being restored after an outage.
