The loss of stability, traumatic experiences, separation from loved ones, and uncertainty about the future have created immense psychological tension.

To shed light on this issue, the medical information platform Helsi conducted a survey of 2,400 Ukrainians aged 18 to 65.

The results indicate that nearly two-thirds of respondents — 63% — struggle daily with anxiety and stress. In contrast, only 9.8% report feeling consistently energetic. A significant portion — 42.8% — experience ongoing apathy and reduced motivation.

Another 31.9% encounter such difficulties from time to time, while 10.1% notice these symptoms only during periods of intense pressure.

One of the primary factors contributing to low motivation is poor sleep quality. Only 12.6% of participants stated that they felt well-rested over the past two weeks.

Meanwhile:

42.9% reported difficulties falling asleep or waking up earlier than planned.

23.7% suffer from chronic sleep deprivation.

20.8% experience drowsiness for most of the day.

Fatigue is widespread, with only 3.4% of respondents claiming they rarely feel tired.

At the same time:

46.1% face persistent exhaustion.

33.6% feel tired several times a week.

16.9% experience it less frequently.

A sense of hopelessness is also common, with only 20.2% of respondents stating they have never felt it.

When asked to evaluate their overall mental health, only 3% described their condition as very good, while 46.8% rated it as very poor. Despite this, 29.8% of those surveyed do not intend to seek professional help.

The study also revealed that less than half of the respondents have ever consulted mental health professionals:

15.2% sought help several times.

14.8% consulted a specialist once.

40.2% are considering reaching out for support.

The survey highlights significant challenges faced by Ukrainians in maintaining emotional well-being during difficult times. Caring for mental health is not a sign of weakness but a testament to inner strength.

To enhance resilience and regain balance, it is essential to prioritize rest, trust loved ones, and seek professional support when necessary.

Even in the most challenging circumstances, addressing mental health issues is the first step towards recovery and stability.
