"We are certainly grateful for the bipartisan support. Both Democrats and Republicans […] voted for a total of 175 or 177 billion dollars," the head of state stated. "If you were to ask me how much of that we received – I wouldn't go into specifics. There are various reports from different institutions such as the Ministry of Defense, intelligence agencies, etc. I would just say – we did not receive half [of the weapons]. I think this is an important element when we talk about who is helping us. I mean, Europe has helped just as much. And that's a crucial point. This is the kind of assistance we received, and how it reached us – this is very important."
According to Zelensky, "we received weapons" in Ukraine, and the U.S. has increased its production, stockpiles, and the capacity of its military.
"In many ways, we provided answers. Through the real example of another nation, Europeans also gained experience," the president noted.
Zelensky added that besides military aid, the U.S. also provided Ukraine with humanitarian and financial assistance.
"We are thankful to our partners. Overall, the assistance has been significant [...] Not from the very first day, but since the beginning of the war, let's say. Maintaining unity between Europe and the United States is a task. Because if American policy changes, the strength of unity in Europe will also change… Will this affect the increase in assistance? No, it could only impact its reduction," the president of Ukraine concluded.
