Starting December 15, Ukraine will implement a new train schedule that promises significant improvements for passengers. This will particularly affect Dnipro. The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reports this, as conveyed by "Vidomo".
The company emphasizes that alongside the introduction of new routes, travel times will be reduced, and the frequency of certain services will increase.
What is expected:
- five new routes to the Carpathians: from Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Poltava, Kharkiv, and other cities in Ukraine;
- 33 services to Kharkiv, which will provide more convenient connections to this region;
- acceleration of 38 routes thanks to infrastructure improvements. For instance, the Kyiv – Rakhiv train will reduce travel time by nearly an hour.
New routes launching in December:
- №33/34 Kryvyi Rih – Yasinya: a new route with stops in Lviv, Yaremche, Tatariv, and other tourist locations in the Carpathians;
- №61/62 Dnipro – Rakhiv: connecting the Dnipro region with the Carpathians via Lviv;
- №83/84 Kyiv – Solotvyno: a 50% increase in seating availability for tourists traveling to Transcarpathia;
- №125/126 Poltava, Kremenchuk – Uzhhorod: a new route through Poltava and the Carpathians;
- №145/146 Kharkiv – Chernivtsi: an opportunity for residents of Slobozhanshchyna to reach Bukovina;
- №823/824 Kharkiv – Dnipro: a new regional route connecting two major cities.
Improvements to existing services:
- train №39/40 Zaporizhzhia – Solotvyno will now depart later, allowing passengers to travel overnight;
- №85/86 Zaporizhzhia – Lviv extended to Rakhiv;
- during peak periods, routes Kyiv – Rakhiv and Lviv – Kharkiv will operate daily or will continue to other cities.
Reduction in travel times:
- Kyiv – Solotvyno sped up by 1 hour and 9 minutes;
- Kyiv – Rakhiv – by 57 minutes;
- Uzhhorod – Kharkiv – by 51 minutes.
Thanks to these innovations, traveling across Ukraine will become faster, more convenient, and more accessible for passengers.
