At the age of 66, the heart of Lieutenant General of Civil Protection Viktor Vladimirovich Butkovsky has stopped. This was reported by "Vidomo," referencing a publication from the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Viktor Vladimirovich led the rescue service of Dnipropetrovsk, serving as the head of the Main Department from 2003 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2012.
Viktor Butkovsky devoted over 35 years to service in various positions. He repeatedly participated in mitigating the consequences of fires and technological accidents. Fearlessly and decisively, he directed the actions of the involved personnel, ensuring the completion of assigned tasks. Colleagues describe him as a model of courage, bravery, and humanity.
"The bright memory of our colleague, a true leader and a great person, will forever remain in the hearts of the rescuers of Dnipropetrovsk," the message states.
