During the session of the Dnipro City Council on January 29, the deputies made a decision to establish a veteran policy management division within the municipality's structure. This initiative was proposed by the city mayor, Boris Filatov. Additionally, a specialized municipal enterprise will be transferred under this division, which will focus entirely on issues related to our defenders. Following this, a Veteran Council will be created under the city mayor, along with further development of the veteran community as a whole. The new division will be led by Anton Malyi, the commander of the 232nd Battalion of the 128th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense. This information was reported by "Vідомо" referencing "Наш Город".

Anton Malyi volunteered to go to the front at the onset of the war. He fought in the hottest spots of Donbas, starting as a platoon commander and demobilizing as a battalion commander. He is well aware of the problems and needs of veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

The veteran policy management division has only been operational for a few days. Plans and projects are yet to be implemented.

"We have the most ambitious plans. We want to create a veteran space, a veteran hub. Perhaps a veterans' club where war participants and their family members can meet, discuss urgent issues, or simply socialize. We will organize sports tournaments for veterans and their children. We will definitely create a social media page and a Telegram channel. We understand that we won't be able to solve all the problems faced by those who have returned from war. They deserve it," notes the head of the division.
