Another shocking incident occurred in Dnipro, vividly illustrating the extreme heartlessness and irresponsibility of some individuals towards defenseless animals. Unknown individuals threw several puppies over the fence of the shelter "Ark". This was reported by "Vydomo".
The story began with residents reaching out to the shelter volunteers, requesting the acceptance of several puppies. Despite the shelter being overcrowded and having a long waiting list for animal intake, the volunteers always strive to help, but in this case, they were forced to decline.
The shelter operates under strict regulations aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of all its residents. The animal intake system includes quarantine, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, and adaptation to new conditions. This approach minimizes the risk of disease spread and ensures the health of all animals residing in the shelter.
The refusal was justified by the need to adhere to established rules and the shelter's limited capacity at that moment.
However, instead of seeking alternative options for the puppies, individuals threw them over a high fence directly into an enclosure with adult dogs. By sheer luck, the puppies survived.
The puppies received first aid and the necessary care. Fortunately, they only experienced fear and minor injuries, but they still require careful monitoring and further veterinary assistance.
Currently, the puppies need comprehensive medical care: they require proper nutrition, special vitamin complexes, vaccinations against dangerous diseases, and parasite treatment. It is also essential to provide them with comfortable living conditions until they find loving owners.
Previously, we reported that exhausted animals were delivered to Dnipro from the frontline zone.
We also informed that houses for stray cats were installed in Dnipro on the Topol residential area (PHOTO).
