In Kryvyi Rih, five million hryvnias is planned to be spent over the year for the maintenance of the city's traffic light infrastructure. The Department of Infrastructure Development has announced a tender for these works, the details of which have raised a number of questions and disputes among the public. This was reported by "Vidomo" citing "Na Chasi".

The stated amount includes not only standard technical maintenance of traffic lights, which encompasses preventive repairs, replacement of malfunctioning components, cleaning, and adjustments, but also a number of significant upgrades.

In particular, the project plans to replace informational signs, including the installation of new signs with green arrows indicating permitted turns left or right at a red signal, and eight traffic lights will feature music.

Additionally, there are plans to replace LEDs and matrices - whether they will be made from diamonds remains unknown.

Nonetheless, the amount allocated for annual maintenance seems astronomically high, considering the military realities and challenges that this difficult time presents to the city and region.
