The city budget for 2025 has been approved in Kryvyi Rih.

The city council deputies of Kryvyi Rih have approved the budget for 2025.

During the plenary session of the Kryvyi Rih City Council on November 29, the deputies approved the city budget for 2025 with a majority vote, as reported by "Vідомо," referencing the official website of the Kryvyi Rih City Council and its executive committee.

This marks the third budget adopted by the city under martial law. The revenue for the city budget is projected to be 9.1 billion UAH, with expenditures matching this amount at 9.1 billion UAH.

It is anticipated that 8.8 billion UAH will come from the city's own revenues, while 245.3 million UAH will be received as grant funds. Additionally, 98.1 million UAH will be sourced from credit resources.

In 2025, the city plans to allocate 400 million UAH to support the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, which will be used to purchase goods and equipment.

Nearly 500 million UAH is earmarked for the implementation of measures under the New Veteran Policy – the Heroes Policy, which includes 70 different initiatives.

Overall, expenditures directly related to martial law will amount to 1.2 billion UAH.

For the implementation of the municipal social protection program for residents in 2025, more than 570 million UAH is planned.

4.2 billion UAH has been allocated for the maintenance of budgetary institutions and social protection of the population. This includes salaries for budget institution employees, payments for energy resources and utilities, procurement of medications and food products, as well as various types of assistance and benefits for residents.

In total, 5.4 billion UAH is designated for the execution of 30 city programs.

The largest allocation of funds is for "Education," with 2.2 billion UAH set aside for its maintenance.

Health care will receive 516.3 million UAH from the city budget. The "STOP-Heart Attack" program will continue to operate in the city. Funds have also been allocated for several medical projects, including renovations at hospitals No. 3 and No. 1, the infectious disease hospital, and the completion of repairs at three shelters in medical institutions.

196 million UAH is planned for the maintenance of cultural institutions: cultural palaces, libraries, museums, exhibition halls, and financial support for theaters. Additionally, repairs are scheduled for the shelter at music school No. 12 and the roof of the "Ternovskyi" cultural palace.

The city budget includes 213.1 million UAH for the maintenance and support of 11 youth sports schools and for organizing events in the field of physical culture and sports. An additional 1 million UAH has been allocated for municipal scholarships for the best athletes and their coaches.

For the implementation of energy-saving projects, 324.2 million UAH is allocated, of which 94.7 million UAH is for an investment project in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the thermal modernization of educational institutions, and 229.5 million UAH is for a comprehensive set of measures related to the reconstruction of district heating networks and the replacement of sections of water supply networks.

Since the city was not included in the list of communities exempt from remitting the reverse subsidy, it will need to transfer 194.2 million UAH to the state budget next year.
