In Pokrov, two individuals narrowly escaped suffocation in a smoke-filled apartment (PHOTO)

On Friday, January 10, firefighters rescued two individuals while extinguishing a fire in an apartment in Pokrov. This was reported by "Vідомо," citing the State Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The notification about the fire in one of the rooms of a four-story residential building located on Heroes of Ukraine Street in the city of Pokrov, Nikopol district, was received by the emergency service at 09:20 on January 10.

Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found that household items were ablaze in an apartment on the penultimate floor, covering an area of 2 square meters.

Inside the smoke-filled building, the firefighters discovered a man and a woman. They were evacuated via the stairwell to fresh air.

Fortunately, the rescued individuals did not require medical assistance.

The fire was extinguished at 09:37.
