Служащий одесского ТЦК подозревается в торговле повестками.

According to the investigation, the suspect was allegedly selling six-day summonses, allowing their holders to move freely within Ukraine during that period.

"The military demanded $1,000 for the document, later increasing the price by another 2,000 UAH. As the expiration date approached, the perpetrator promised to issue similar summonses for the same fee. The police apprehended the individual in a procedural manner after he received the full bribe amount and handed over the summons to the client," the statement reads.

The suspect has been informed of the charges of extortion (part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He could face up to 10 years in prison, along with a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years, along with the confiscation of property.

Currently, the court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the right to bail set at over 242,000 UAH, the police added.
