The police of Kyiv and the Security Service of Ukraine detained a man who attempted to set fire to flags honoring fallen soldiers in Maidan, Kyiv, stating "it's better for a flag to burn than for the whole country," reports "Vydomo" citing Kyiv police.

Law enforcement officials carried out a series of operational measures, resulting in the arrest of a young man - a 23-year-old resident of Pavlhrad, although initial reports suggested he was from Kyiv. He shared his actions on social media. After discussions with the SBU and National Police, he expressed remorse and apologized.
