According to data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the average monthly temperature will range from -3°C to +2°C, which is 1.5–2 degrees higher than usual.
The level of precipitation is also expected to be below normal, with forecasts ranging from 25 to 65 mm. The Hydrometeorological Center notes that in previous years, the average temperature in February varied from 0°C to -5°C, and in certain regions such as southern Odessa, Crimea, and Transcarpathia, temperatures could reach +1–+4°C.
Historically, the lowest recorded temperatures in February in Ukraine ranged from -24°C to -39°C, while in Crimea and the southern part of Odessa, they dropped to -15°C to -23°C.
The highest recorded temperatures in February reached +12°C to +20°C, and in some regions such as Crimea, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi, even +21°C to +24°C. In the Carpathian highlands, the absolute maximum was +9°C to +11°C.
Currently, Ukraine is experiencing unseasonably warm and dry weather resembling early spring. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko predicts that this trend will continue, and by the end of January, temperatures could reach +16°C.
