The safety of students and teachers has become a primary concern alongside the challenge of continuing education amid conflict. A significant change has been the adjustment of the holiday schedule to balance these priorities.
Schools are planning spring break for 2025, which will last one week, from March 24 (Monday) to March 30 (Sunday).
Classes will resume on March 31, 2025. However, schools have the option to set their own specific holiday dates within the framework of the "On Complete General Secondary Education" law, which stipulates that holidays during the academic year must total at least 30 days.
The academic year started on September 2, 2024, and will conclude on June 30, 2025.
Schools are encouraged to make decisions regarding holidays based on various factors such as regional needs, parent feedback, and guidance from the Ministry of Education. This approach aims to create a balance that prioritizes the well-being of students.
In these turbulent times, breaks are essential to provide students with the opportunity to recharge, spend time with family, and alleviate stress. For regions where remote learning is still ongoing, holidays also offer a chance to emotionally and technically refresh.
Despite the challenges, Ukraine's educational system continues to demonstrate adaptability and a strong commitment to supporting its children during these extraordinary trials.
