At the same time, discounts for trips to Austria and Moldova will remain unchanged. Previously, "Ukrzaliznytsia" had introduced special discounts in collaboration with neighboring countries to encourage international travel.
However, the increase in prices for consumables and energy resources has significantly impacted the company's passenger transportation sector, resulting in losses of 18 billion UAH over the past year. This has prompted a gradual reassessment of the discount system.
Key price changes include:
Routes to Poland: tickets for 1st class Intercity+ and SV compartments will rise by 20-27%. Tickets for regular compartments will increase by 9-27%.
Popular international trains: on the Kyiv-Warsaw route, ticket prices will increase by 37%.
On the Kyiv-Budapest route, the price for SV compartments will go up by 17%, while regular compartments will see a 21% increase.
It is important to note that tickets purchased before January 31, 2025, through the official website or the Ukrzaliznytsia app will still be available at the current reduced prices for trips in February.
