In Dnipro, despite the winter season on the calendar, residents manage to gather a plethora of mushrooms from the forest edges, sometimes filling entire baskets. It turns out that locals not only bring home these natural gifts but also engage in a real "photo hunt" for them. Dnipro resident Maria Pustova shared her unique finds on social media. This was reported by "Vidomo."

Instead of the usual snowdrops that typically start blooming only in February, the young woman was fortunate to find not only oyster mushrooms but also flammulina, known as winter honey mushrooms.

These mushrooms are distinguished by their ability to survive in cold conditions and can even grow during severe frosts, making them true winter delicacies. Oyster mushrooms are commonly found on fallen trees and stumps. They have a tender texture and pleasant taste, making them popular among foragers and chefs.

Flammulina, or winter honey mushrooms, are also valuable in culinary terms; they have a distinctive sweetish flavor and can be used in various dishes—from soups to casseroles.

As we can see, this winter season offers not only the chance to replenish food supplies but also the opportunity to delight others with beautiful photos of what nature generously provides in our region.
